Squash 57- Racquetball

New league system set up to encourage and facilitate playing Squash 57 at the club.

Suggest best out of 5 games with games up to 11 and two ahead if it gets to 10 all

Unless blatant play lets in preference to Strokes.

Rules are the same as Squash, apart from:

The service line is not in use.

The server must bounce the ball to serve.

The serve must not directly hit the back wall on the opposing side.

The main thing is try to play all your games and enjoy.

Walking squash League

Welcome to Northern Walking Squash, a pioneering league that is ideal for those with limited mobility, those returning from injury, or simply for those who want to practice their cross-court skills, control, and accuracy in a fun yet formal competitive environment.

The main rules are.

Best of 5 games, but if you don't complete all games, you [put in the result as it stands at the end of the 40minutes, e.g. 1 all or 2 one, ect..

Play with a single yellow dot ball as this will allow you to dig out the ball more successfully and give you a bit more time with the intention of lengthening the rallies. It will also really focus on your ability to control the ball.

Red lines are out.

A let is to be played if there is any potential clash in the middle of the court.

You have one rescue shot per rally that you can use to return to yourself if needed before playing it over.

You can serve anywhere within your back quarter.

You can play the old scoring system up to 9 (in the event of 8 all the one not serving decides 1 or 2 ahead) and you can only score points when you are serving. However, if you decide with your opponent to do the Modern American scoring system to 11 or 15, that is fine.
